Is it Really the End??

News like today's headline make many people, including myself, have that Tuesday morning almost 5 years ago come flooding back into their memories. Thinking about what could have happened on those airlines. Sick...that's how it makes me feel. It makes me feel SICK that people would consider it their GOD GIVEN DUTY to take the LIVES of someone else...ugh...

Many people want to think that the events of the past several years are leading us up to the end times... To them I say...uh...yeah! The Bible TELLS us we're living in the end times. It tells us that we won't know the day or the hour. Not even CHRIST knows when he'll return. BUT the Scriptures also tell us to pay attention. To be aware of the sky. That we'll know when it is coming and that when Christ DOES come that EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue confess that JESUS is the LORD! That just gives me goosebumps.

You want to know what my flesh would like?? My flesh would like for all of these terrorist hacks to have to be locked up and I want to be there to see THEM confess that Jesus is the LORD! BUT...it's not for me to judge them...no matter how SICK their ideals make me...I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry that they've been brainwashed into making these INSANE choices...doing the INSANE dirty work of an INSANE CRAZY person and his INSANE CRAZY PEOPLE that are too COWARDLY to do their OWN killing...sigh...

I see hope. I hear of churches that are BOOMING in places that the Muslim religion has domination of. I hear of missionaries that while they're being killed for their beliefs, the churches CONTINUE to grow because of their witness.

I know that not everyone will be saved. Scripture tells us that. BUT it is God's desire that ALL should find glory and ALL should be saved. That's the tricky thing about free will I guess...

I do see hope. I do see Jesus in the future of this world. I see Him kicking Satan's...ahem...all the way back to...umm (familyfriendly now)...

*straightens shirt and hair*

pshew...

I feel better...

Looking forward to getting me a God Tat!

1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." ~~Revelation 7:1-3

We only just caught the news very briefly before we left for vbs yesterday morning, but it was certainly shocking. the other vbs leader has a son who is on a school rugby tour out in New Zealand and is due to fly back next week.
And I agree on the points you made.

Great blog Steph. Good perspective. You're a really good writer.
I got skinny for a not so cool reason, but maintained it after all the mess. I had a ton of health problems with Gabe's delievery (severe pre-elampsia) and I had a small stoke after having him. All the meds made me not wanna eat. It stunk. But ALL is good now and God took care of all of us and made us grow stronger because of it. Now we're contemplating another natural child or adopting through the agency that Pete and Heather Ramsey just used. ?? Love you!!
